Walk-Through Face Recognition Up to 4 Meters
UBio-X Face Premium unlike face recognition standard products the recognition of users walking in without having to stop for face recognition is possible up to 4 meters from the terminal. Because at gate lines through several doors of buildings with very heavy traffic of people such as department stores, UBio-X Face Premium is best for entrance areas of buildings with very heavy traffic of people. In addition the terminal recognizes all people walking in at the same time, therefore no queuing up during peak hours is required.
The slim and compact form of UBio-X Face Premium Terminal body has an 8” large and high-resolution full-color LCD touch screen. By clearly recognizing and recognizing to use the large screen interface which are posted and managed by administrators, various information such as access status, branding etc. can be posted and managed and displayed at entrance halls, building lobbies etc.
Even though UBio-X Face Premium is basically a face recognition terminal, the sensor module UBio-X FQR of this terminal can be also used for a variety of other recognition methods. This allows for flexible design of a security system to meet requirements of different facilities and their areas. Employees can be recognized at entrance gates of a building using face recognition, whereas two-factor recognition (fingerprint + face recognition) can be used for access to server rooms or for restricted zones with higher security level.
With UBio-X Face Premium one device can serve for different areas of a facility with different security requirements. In public areas such as entrance halls, waiting rooms, etc. face recognition is sufficient for verification. In access controlled areas such as server rooms, storages, laboratories, etc. two-factor authentication (face recognition + additional method such as fingerprint, QR code, smart card, RFID card, PIN code) can be required.
Attacking a face recognition system is relatively simple: All it takes is a printed photo of a person, displayed on a screen or in a video, or even a 3D mask. As long as the recognition system cannot tell whether or not a live human is presenting a face for recognition, it is unable to provide strong enough security to protect against both external and internal threats to an organization’s physical assets. Only a system that actively prevents attacks using printed photos, videos and 3D masks can offer recognition on live humans of sufficient security. The UBio-X Face Premium prevents just such attacks and offers 3 levels of mask detection. It is up to the system administrator to decide on a course of action when a masked face is detected, such as alerting the user and then allowing access, or simply denying access.
When using the UBio-X Face Premium as a face recognition terminal, it can also be equipped with a thermal camera module. In the course of face recognition, the terminal can then measure the body temperature of individuals. If the measured temperature is higher than a threshold value that has been defined in advance by the administrator, the individual is denied access and the corresponding event is logged on the server. This type of screening is used in particular in hospitals, government offices, in schools as well as in corporate campuses with health screening at entry points.
UBio-X Face Premium is ideal for large companies as well as companies with hundreds of users in different locations and are all managed from one single server.
UBio-X Face Premium supports a range of connection types, including hardwired connection via TCP/IP as well as Wi-Fi. A Wiegand output is also provided for connection to access control equipment. The system is also fully compatible with a wide range of market leading access control and time attendance software including UBio’s own Alpeta biometric time and attendance software. Users can even use their smartphone to complete user enrollment for the UBio-X Face Premium by uploading a photo of themselves. Large numbers of staff can then be added to the system in a matter of minutes.
